Such situations often occur in negotiation between requestors and responders, a broker and its members, and even a group of people with relational jobs. This thesis uses the dynamic agent system as our workflow architecture. This agent system could be divided into 3 parts: dynamic agents, the workflow and rule-based system, and coordinators by their functions. Under this architecture, dynamic agents which are created by the workflow system could work cooperatively with coordinators. Although this distributed working is effective, some exceptions and failure are arisen in product manufacturing, message communication, and electronic commerce. We shall present a failure recovery method which deals with two types of conditions, predictable and unpredictable conditions, on dynamic agent systems. We also simulate a travel agent system which is based on the dynamic agent infrastructure and use XML to represent the relational information which can be queried using XPath.
