It has been claimed that OOP leads to more flexible, modular and reusable code, so that suitable for modern programming style. In general, Jacobian matrix in the power flow analysis contains more than 90% of zero elements. It is demonstrated that using sparse matrix storage schemes and operations are more efficiency and can reduced memory requirements, run-off error for a bulk power system. The software can solve the load flow problem by Newton-Raphson method for any load condition. It can also show the P-V curve for any specified bus, and according to P-V curve and SVD method we can determine the voltage stability index and the active power margin from operating point to critical point(nose point). The software can indicate weak bus indices according to the singular vectors of Jacobian matrix. It can also compute reactive power margin by way of Q-V curve, such that can be used by operator effectively. When the system situation be on the verge of voltage collapse, operator can adopt various precautions against voltage collapse. Precautions include OLTC adjustment, undervoltage load shedding and optimal location of shunt capacitor compensation.
