Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木與防災技術研究所 === 90 === Abstract The lateral force resisting system in the majority of existing RC buildings in Tainwan are nonductile frames, with most of them containing nonstructural RC or brick panels. In order to observe the behaviors of sush structures under lateral forces, 6 nonductile frames ( including 2 pure frames and 4 others with brick in-fill panels ) were experimented in this project. Other than deformation and damage patterns of individual frames, comparisons of these patterns were also made between different frames to study the effects of panel type on the overall behaviors of nonductile frames. In addition, the columns in one of every two specimens were wrapped with CFRP prior to the experiment to test the effectiveness of CFRP in the retrofit of nonductile frames. As for the stress-strain relationship of the confined concrete, the model proposed by Mander and the L-L Model were used in this study. For the analysis of brick panel an “ equivalent truss model ” was used. At last the frame and the equivalent truss were engaged and then analyzed following a non-linear pushover procedure to obtain the strength envelopes of each frame. As a further research, a non-linear, quasi-static analysis were performed on frames with brick panels using the IDARC program to represent the behaviors of these frames under cyclic loading.
