Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 冷凍與低溫科技研究所 === 90 === The Chilled water hydraulic system, composing with chillers, pumps, valves, piping, control units and terminal heat exchangers, is the important utility of HVAC system. According to designer’s demands and concept, the system will be decided with various different types by the size of system and distance. The major percentage, nearly 70 percent, of energy consumption is estimated from chillers and pumps. Basing on different energy analysis of water side, this research shows the characteristics of cooling load in hospital through centrifugal chiller, centrifugal pumps, air-handling unit coils and control valves. The report focused on the operative energy consumption of HVAC system in chill water side, generalize various the types of chiller system starting from common centrifugal pumps, and discusses the energy efficiency of the four general types through computer simulation. Cooling load and two main components of system, chiller and pumps, influences the performance analysis of the chilled water system. From the economics concerning, it is not appropriate to size the capacity of chillers and pumps in peak load since the demand is not occur frequently. The report found that the best energy efficiency of the HVAC system is integrating with paralleled chiller combining constant speed-variable volume pumps in primary circuit and variable speed-variable volume pump combining two-way valve in secondary circuit.
