There are many areas of neglect in current hospice design, which create problems and discontent both physically and mentally for patients, workers and families. The new model developed in this study is aimed at resolving old problems through contribution to the future development of hospice design. The concrete targets of this study can be separated into the following four items: 1. To construct the utilization of space in this hospice. a. Planning the space required according to the needs of patients in the hospice. b. Setting the space according to the behavior of the working group in the hospice. c. To frame a hospice model by combining these two points. 2. To interview people in the working group, recording their work and making observations. 3. To take personal notes during the work in the hospice. a. To observe and record the work of hospice workers. b. To observe the behavior and needs of the patients and families during ward run. 4. To attempt to develop an optimal hospice model for future use. a. To divide these observations into five themes for future qualitative analysis. b. Design the optimal pattern for hospice spaces. Five conclusive points drawn from this research: 1. Effectively combine social resources and Hospice operations. 2. Bilateral design. 3. Structure the hospice as a series of small units. 4. The fulfillment of the needs of care-givers. 5. Develop patterns for hospice design. 鄭晃二 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 56 zh-TW
