It is much greater than the GNP average growth rate of 9.7﹪. The insurance premium of 1980 in China was 642 million yuan. In 1998, it reached to 124.73 billion yuan, i.e. twenty times compared to 1980. Life insurance business sells the product-life policy contract. It is necessary to sell it through a specialized salesman. The salesman needs to analyze the product and make a proper portfolio for the insurant. Following the development of the insurance market, the product renovates frequently, the condition of insurant’s age, family, economy, health also change. Thus, the after-sale-service becomes more important. The consumer buys insurance policy contract from an insurance company through his agent and get more protection. Therefore, we may reach a conclusion that a specialized insurance agent is non-substitutive. This study focuses on the comparison of the origin, implement, successive changes, management and training of system of insurance agent between both sides of Taiwan Straits. This way the social public may realize in the progress of both sides of insurance business, the insurer, insurant broker etc. has a lot more to learn and to improve. Through the execution of insurance agent system, the choice of the quality of the consumer can be strengthened, the desirable competition and an even development can be reached. The author thinks facing the potential development of life insurance business in Mainland China and its strong head-hunting policy, the life insurance managers in Taiwan must equipped with certain condition in order to successfully get into that market. And how to grasp the trend of the development of the world economy in order to achieve the challenge of entering into WTO and the goal of double winning in both sides in the development strategy, the following paints should be reached:1.the establishment of a desirable mechanism of insurance market;2.the promotion for life insurance agent to devote in specialized knowledge and skills;3.the cultivation and the strengthening of insurance workers themselves in order to unite together to strive for their own right;4.the renovation of a competitive insurance market and the establishment of a desirable mechanism of insurance market;5.the standard of life insurance business to open market and the promotion of international cooperation;6.an even adjustment of the structure of life insurance and the promotion of internation competetion.
