Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺南藝術學院 === 藝術史與藝術評論研究所 === 90 === Summary A Study of Jades and Bronzes from Tomb of Cuo, the King of the Zhongshang State in the Warring States Period Lai, Jau-wen Placing between “Central Plain” and “Northern Frontier”, Zhongshang State was build by immigrator from northern frontier, and has been governed by Wei State about twenty years. Therefore, the cultures from Northern and Central Plain were twisted in Zhongshang. By analyzing the style and use of jades and bronzes, this thesis tries to present the different degree of effects from both cultures on Jades and Bronzes of Cuo’s Tomb. Basically, Jades and Bronzes are very different material, having different use tradition and style. It is impossible to compare these two directly, so that this thesis deal with jade and bronze individually. By comparing with the same material from Central Plain and Northern Frontier, it is useful to identify the cultural elements and to measure the degree of effect on single material. The comparison shows that both Central Plain and Northern Frontier effect on the use and style of bronzes at Cuo’s Tomb. On the contrary, the northern effect on Jades of Cuo’s Tomb is rare. According to this result, this study tries to figure out the relativity between different role and culture sources of jades and bronzes. Based on above research procedure, we have had a clearer picture about the culture figure of Tomb of Cuo, the King of the Zhongshang State in the Warring States Period.
