The aim of this study was to investigate to what extent the performance of a golf club could be affected by the shaft weight. Three different shaft weight of golf club (61g, 71g, and 81g) were used in this study, and six elite athletes (handicaps 0-12) each performed 10 swings with the clubs. The swing sweet spot, trajectory, and bending angle were collected using the digital video camera and high speed camera. The selected variables were quantification and one-way ANOVA with a Turkey procedure were used to determine if significant differences existed between the above variants. The results of this study that golf-shaft weight was no significantly correlated with the accuracy of sweet spot. Moreover, the heavier shaft had smaller bending in shaft and much more accuracy in trajectory. It concluded that the heavier shaft of the golf club had significantly better performance than the lighter. Pao-Cheng Lin 林寶城 2002 學位論文 ; thesis 76 zh-TW |
