In the past , traditional industries play an important role in Taiwan’s economical miracle . The textile industry made the most contribution of foreign exchange in Taiwan until now . However , as the Government changed it’s policy , the costs of labor and agrarian increased , and Taiwan join World Trade Organization in 2002 ,Taiwan’s textile industries face tremendous difficulties then ever before. In order to increase the competition abilities of the textile industry , the procedures of constructing an e-business becomes a necessary approach.
This research provides five stages to describe the process of constructing an e-business . A method to classify the levels of information technology based on value chain and industry chain is estabalished for the enterprises to set up the development goal of the future. At last, this research uses the method of leading information system made by Kwon & Zmud to support the implementation period.
This research choose the Apparel industry which is the backward position of all the textile industries as an example. An Apparel company which has the greatest achievement in creating a new supply chain by leading information technology was taken as the case study.
