What’s Six Sigma? it simply means a measure of quality that strives for near perfection. Six Sigma is a disciplined as well, Six Sigma is a data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects. The Six Sigma focus on customer needs than product. Six Sigma is a project oriented method with clear goal define, Six Sigma can applied in every trades. any process -- from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service. In this study, the Six Sigma concept will be discussed from 2 different points of view. Part 1, will discuss business strategy about how to implement Six Sigma in enterprise. Part 2, will introduce how to implement Six Sigma project in your business, in this part, a series steps of D, M, A, I, C of “Six Sigma” methodology and benchmarking concept will be applied in a petrochemical plant “an Extraction” unit operation system as a demonstration.
