We use semiotic and grounded theory to build our basic theory .The matter is to understand the pattern and interaction between sign shift. Final, we organized context of using Form Vocabulary to guide creative design to help us to evaluate our hypothesis. Through generalization and deduction from designer data of interviews , we got some results as follows:The context, using Form Vocabulary to guide creative design , is mainly caused by gathering form database、verbal definition and meaning connected of which meaning connected is the most important factor. The phases of constructing gathering from database and verbal definition will affect the direction of its development. The results of this research: 1.Gathering form databases phase: Designers gather signs from how they agreement on the forms and their sensibility to lives. And sending out the design topic will help to continue the gathering tactics, and produce new creative ways which are different from deducing by only one way before. 2.Verbal definition phase: The factors that designers ignored in the past will come back again. After blending they and a topic, they will show up by new status of creative point and usually use displacement and assimilation of signs. 3.Meaning connected phase: After concentrating and organizing signs to make the context develop by meaning shift, we will take what factors every object should have originally to create new merchandise, and attempt to make the meaning consonance between user and merchandise in order to communicate designers'' opinion. 4.The entire form design is the process designers derive new meaning from gathering forms. The difference of completely imitating or shifting between forms and meanings depends on designers how to influence formal media when they carry over or excessively exploitation out to a system.
