This research is based on the Bluetooth SIG proposal “Bluetooth specification version 1.1” and the verilog hardware description language. Our design emphasized on the error control coding, packet composer, packet decomposer and hopping selector structure implementation. In the hopping selection implementation, we was designed a general modulo multiplier to accomplish hopping selection function. We also was used the look-table method in the error control coding. To achieve rapid and reduced the required logic gates are our the goal. Besides that, we also use the Matlab-Simulink software to analyze various effects in the Bluetooth system. Simulation results show that the system bits error rate is around 0.02 to 0.04 while the IEEE 802.11b interferer is nearly. And the results show that performance of the Bluetooth system would degrade seriously when the 802.11b transmitter rate more and more fast. On the hardware consideration, we use the high performance field programmed gate array (FPGA) chips and the MAX+PLUS II tool provided by Altera to compile and verify our designed.
