Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 90 === This study presents a novel approach for enhancing sequences of color images, using the technique of the dichotomy histogram equalization. Each color pixel in the RGB color space is first transformed to the YCbCr color space. A mapping table is next created, and the techniques of the histogram projection as well as the dichotomy histogram equalization are adopted. After replacing the Y component of the input image, the Cb and Cr components are adjusted according to the color area in YCbCr color space. Finally, the result is transformed back to the RGB color space. Experimental results will reveal the practicability of the proposed methods
