Methods used in analog video system is no more worth now。 In digital ones， it use Conditional Access System (CAS) as the channel access authorization mechanism。 And scrambling algorithm is the most important component in CAS。
There are many kinds of scrambling algorithm， besides traditional cipher algorithm， most scrambling algorithm use many cipher algorithms in the same time。 In this paper， we will adopt a modified algorithm base on the one by Won-Ho Kim、 Kyung-Jae Chen and Hyun-Suk Cho in 1997。 Verify our algorithm by software simulation and appraise its performance and application under digital video broadcasting environment。
