Here﹐the technique of fast Fourier transform (FFT) is considered in the receiver implementation. The major attraction of FFT-based implementation using digital signal processors lies in its ability to achieve guaranteed accuracy and perfect reproducibility﹐and in its inherent flexibility compared with analog signal processing. The simulation result shows that the FFT-based clipper receiver performs better than the other diversity combining receivers. When considering the effect of diversity on the system performance﹐there exists an optimal diversity level to give the best bit error rate (BER) performance﹐and it depends on signal fading conditions.
