With the use of Web-based remote monitoring and control systems, users can perform monitoring and control, and transmit visions over controlled objects through Internet from anywhere in the world. Therefore, as abnormalities occur one can respond at once to remedy the problems. In this thesis, ActiveX technologies are used to develop a Web-based monitoring and control system, where graphical module interfaces are considered to improve the easiness of system operations. To validate the feasibility of the proposed scheme, a remote-controlled parking lot system and a permanent magnet synchronous motor control system are constructed, respectively.
