It is impractical to respond to its need for skillful manpower with the application of school education for personnel training. Therefore, on-job training or seeking external solution for needed talent is the one and the only alternative available to beauty industry. The purpose of this research is to find how the training affects the beautician’s career development by conducting some sample surveys and interviews with the beauticians. From 202 samples and interviews, we find that (1)With the popularity of education, the educational background of the beauticians is getting higher. As a result, their professional knowledge is more abundant. (2)With the emphasis of job orientation, most employers ask the trainees to “sign the contract” to ensure their investment, and this trend becomes a legal system. (3)Except the important courses like professional knowledge and skill trainings, personal relationship, social skills and etiquette are important too. (4)In order to enhance the professional image, most beauticians have strong learning motivation to the training courses. (5)The beauticians are most interested in the career development courses especially in job orientation and then the on-job training or follow-up training courses. (6)All the career development training courses for the beauticians benefit them in promoting the status of the company, improving the personal relationship, increasing the communicative skills, obtaining the license. These courses are not correlated with each other. But all the other training courses are correlated with the career development.
