Based on the statistic data, every social worker in Taiwan has to serve on average over 10,000 people. Comparing to other countries, such as the U.S.A., the United Kingdom, France, Sweden and Hongkong, it is hard to image how the social workers in Taiwan could overcome the tremendous workload. In view of the above, we have made a research on both public and private social institutions; and through collection of second hand data, we aim to realize and to better understand this special profession in order to probe into the system in depth and make sure that the performance would be improved through benefit from the system established.
