To study on activity, strength and swelling property of improved soil, laboratory tests including the Atterberg limit test, unconfined compression test and swelling test for improved soil were done. Soils treated with various percentage of slag cement and admixtures. The results of this study show that the Atterberg limits of improved soil are decreased with the contain of slag cement and admixtures. The best improved effect on activity is the Taichung lateritic. The optimal contain of slag cement on unconfined compression strength is about 20%∼25% of dry soil weight. The unconfined compression strength of improved soil is increased with the contain of slag cement and curing time, additional strength gains of the Taichung lateritic mixed with slag cement could have been increased farther. Admixed fly ash into stabilized soil does not matter to additional strength gains, excluding that the contain of fly ash more than 20% of slag cement contain. The optimal contain of water glass on unconfined strength is about 2%∼6% of slag cement contain. The modulus E50 of stabilized soil is increased with the contain of slag cement and curing time. The swelling percentage of improved soil is decreased with curing time in 14 days. Pei-Hsun Tsai 蔡佩勳 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 118 zh-TW
