The first purpose is “to find the personality traits of employee which influence job performance”. The second purpose is “to find employees with different work characteristics which influence job performance”. The third purpose is “to find the difference in job performance when the employee has different personality traits and work characteristics”. By the means of questionnaire and proceed empirical research with Cathay Life Insurance Corporation, NanShan Life Insurance Corporation and Formosa Plastics Transport Corporation employees. 243 pieces of the answer questionnaire are valid. By using of linear regression analysis, this study presents the major findings as following: 1.The more “extraversion” the employee is, the better “job performance” becomes. The more “neuroticism” the employee is, the better “job performance” becomes. The more “internal control orientation” the employee is, the better “job performance” becomes. 2.The more “mobile worker” the employee is, the better “job performance” becomes. The more “non-mobile worker” the employee is, the better “job performance” becomes. 3.The higher the degree of employees “agreeableness” and the “mobile worker”, the lower the degree of employees “job performance”. 4.The higher the degree of employees “conscientiousness” and the “mobile worker”, the higher the degree of employees “job performance”. 5.The higher the degree of employees “internal control orientation” and the “mobile worker”, the lower the degree of employees “job performance”.
