Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 材料與製造工程所 === 91 === This study is to discuss the effects of the air-electrode and the material of collector of Zinc-air battery on the battery performance and leaking. The depletion of oxygen is the limiting step in the reaction of Zinc-air battery, and it affects the performance of air-electrode. And leak affects the availability of the battery. The air-electrode is the major step of the performance of Zinc-air battery. In experiments, took S.S. net, Nickel net, and Cu net as the collector of air-electrode and used Carbon black XC-72 as the major carbon of air-electrode which has high surface area and high conductivity. Adding graphite powder, active carbon, and carbon fiber in diffusion layer or catalyst layer to improve the performance of air-electrode and avoid the battery to leak. The experiment results showed that added 33 wt % active carbon in diffusion layer and 45 wt % in catalyst layer, and the current density arrived 185 mA/cm2. In constant current 20 mA/cm2 loading test, the performance reached 66% and electrolyte did not leak over 55 hours.
