Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 電子工程所 === 91 === The popularity of Internet, development of communication industry and lots of applications of multimedia communication lead whole network transmission environment to face the attack of the huge amount of data transmission. The tremendous amounts of multimedia application data make network congestion and reduce the throughput of the network. In order to solve the problem of network congestion, the most popular solution is to increase the bandwidth by using new technology of transmission agent, but the cost is the disadvantage of this solution. Another important solution is to reduce the data size by encoding the multimedia data. Presently, due to the most popular transport layer protocols of whole network environment are TCP/IP suites, so the data transmission schemes between end hosts and routers play a very important role in the data transmission network. In this paper, the modification of RED scheme in router is presented to improve the throughput, and the results of simulation support the idea of the modification of RED scheme.
