Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 機械工程學所 === 91 === This thesis develops DC-DC converter in passive-matrix organic light emitting diode (OLED) display modules for battery-operated portable electronic products. At present, the operating voltage of the passive-matrix OLED module is 8∼16V greater than 3.6∼4.8V of the battery supplied voltage. So the boost circuit is needed to convert the battery voltage to operating voltage. To improve efficiency and size, the switched-mode power supply is used. The switched-mode power supply is used isn’t design for OLED, and has some problems include it could not support enough current during driving primary stage, so that the OLED could not spread out high brightness, and it induce noise in addition。 This thesis presents design consideration of a power supply IC to meet requirements for passive-matrix OLED display modules. Major factors include current consumption, efficiency and size. An integrated DC-DC boost converter with PWM control is design. Simulation results show that the efficiency can be over 80% for a load current ranging from 20mA to 100mA.
