The first part of the research is the study of 1,6-Bis-(2-pyridin-4-yl-vinyl)-naphthalen -2-ol (cpd1) with basic molecular like TEA or TMA .And it formed hydrogen-bond exciplex. The second part of the research is about the Cpd1 with acidic molecular like acetic acid ,chloroacetic acid , dichloroacetic acid and trichloroacetic acid. Study the difference between before and after formed hydrogen-bond exciplex. Also we use the compound 1,6-Bis-(2-pyridin-4-yl-vinyl)-2-methoxy-naphthalen (cpd2) compare with cpd1 which just a little different in the chemical structure. The third part of this research is about the calculation.we use the molecular calculation(HyperChem)to estimated the difference between cpd1 and cpd2 with acetic acid ,chloroacetic acid , dichloroacetic acid and trichloroacetic acid. To prove the result of the experiment and the calculation is the same. And help us to explain the quenching mechanism, which in turn, increase our ability in preventing these quenching processes and in making the molecules emit light more efficiently.
