Most enterprises turn to use information technologies to support the management. ERP system is a suite of applications to integrate major managerial functions of a company. Since ERP system are infrastructures of enterprises, companies frequently need to integrate other function or systems with the ERP system to satisfy their special demands. Traditionally MRP is the scheduling mechanism of an ERP system, but it does not produce optimal even feasible solutions. Many companies employ APS systems to cope with this problem. Simultaneously using ERP and APS systems causes problems of the integration of heterogeneous systems. This challenge is a crucial factor of synergy that most companies face. This paper proposes a simple, flexible and low coupling architecture for integrating different kinds of systems without replace any existing systems. The core technique of this architecture is Web services. The APS implementation applies the concepts of TOC and FCS. We integrate the APS system and a commercial ERP system by using Web services.
