In this paper, we propose quantitative analysis for Dispatcher-based and DNS-based web server clusters. We compare the performance from the queuing models for Dispatcher-based and DNS-based web server clusters. We also design the relative mathematical models for Dispatcher-based and DNS-based web server clusters by queuing theory. We use QNAT(Queue Network Analysis Tool) to do the simulations and use our results and that of TK Solver to verify our mathematical models. In order to increase our simulation performance, we design a simulation module for Dispatcher-based clusters. We also propose a new load balancing for the DNS-based clusters called two-pass load balancing. This method will make our load balancing better. In addition, the most important key result is the new design by utilizing a looking-up table by a mean of a precomputing Hessian matrix. This method achieves the load balancing without any complex computer computation.
