| Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 應用統計學研究所 === 91 === Biotechnology was first developed and established 30 years ago, but not until recent ten years did biotechnology start to grow rapidly, becoming one of the world’s top technology industries. The interest in biotechnology has been increasingly influencing the world economy today. Taiwan’s Information Electronic Industry has been suffering from a brain drain. Thus, biotechnology industry that sees knowledge economy as a main central objective may possibly be the next new choice to create the field of industry and business.
But according to the year 2002 Taiwan Venture Capital Association Calculation, currently the Venture Capital Industry condition within the country has a total bankroll of less than 6 %. This kind of outgrowth indicates that although biotechnology is one of Taiwan’s main industry that can be further invested, the Venture Capital Company within the country are not startled by biotechnology company but instead they handles it with caution. We can see that some Venture Capital Company’s experience path and the perception of biotechnology capital industry still has some difference in their interpretation. In another words, the current biotechnology company administration does not correspond and agree to the common expectation within the country’s capital industry. This difference is the main cause for biotechnology’s lower proportion.
After analyzing and categorizing this research, the above analysis indicates the different based capital investment combinations (stock holder anatomy, amount of bankroll, date of establishment, whether they have invested in biotechnology company or not and whether they have a biotechnology manager or not), allowing us to understand how each type of combination’s capital investment in biotechnology company for early period and increasing period of investment perception’s crucial cause. These results may reduce the difference in their interpretation.
