For simplicity, a commercial laser pointer was used as light source. A sensitive detection circuit was designed and implemented, but the false alarm rate was high due to the noise caused by a lot of reasons, like the air clearness. In order to provide more reliable detection, we design an algorithm to process the signal digitally.
