Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 91 === In this paper, an adaptive QoS provisioning mechanism is proposed for wireless CDMA system. The proposed mechanism consists of two stages. First stage is implemented at CAC period and to determine the bandwidth allocation for new connections according to available bandwidth and the adaptable range of QoS requirements of users’ traffic types. Second stage is network-level adaptation in which there are three adaptive strategies, including Net-CBK, Net-PLR, and Net-Share adaptations. The function of network-level adaptation is to adaptively adjust users’ QoS requirements according to network’s traffic load, packet lost rate, and call blocking rate and dynamically distribution the allocated bandwidth among active connections. The purpose of the proposed QoS-adaptive mechanism is trying to afford more connections while system suffers heavy traffic load and raise system utilization.
