According to the result of NMR(1-H and 13-C)、EA to character polymer structure ; using potentiometeric titration to calculate amine values ; FT-IR measuring the absorption of functional group : N-P、P=S. Polymer D400 as base stock and polymer synthesized as lubricatant additives, performance of additives depends on the result of contact resistance、frictional coefficient、oil temperature in the AW and EP tests. We use SEM and EDS to observe the consistence of chemistry element and morphology on the surface of upper specimens, so the wear amounts of upper specimens can also provide a proof of experiment result value of contact resistance   The test result of AW and EP shows that if additives contained the most thiophsophate groups could have the highest performance in contact resistance. Besides, the value of contact resistance in proportion to the decreasing value of the frictional coefficient and has influenced on the oil temperature. To compare with EI values、polymer chain and ratio of thiophosphate contained, we get the following result : in the same EI values, the more thiophosphate group that polymer contained, the better test performance of AW and EP ; the increasing polymer chain can not increase the test performance of AW and EP ; different EI values but the same thiophosphate group that polymer contained, the increasing values of EI can not increase the test performance of AW and EP. Observe result of SEM and EDS, the most thiophosphate group that polymer contained has the most ratio of phosphorous element on upper specimens after AW and WP tests and the amount of wear was least, too. In among of synthesized polymer additives, D400(EI)8P9 has the highest contact resistance ~200 ohm、the lowest frictional coefficient ~0.02 and the lowest oil temperature ~100 ºC, has the best test performance of AW and EP.
