As modern people are confronted with a busy life and pressure from work, personal health has always been ignored. This thesis mainly explores the improvement in blood circulation, promotion of metabolism, increase in resistance against diseases, revival of cells, reinforcement of immunity and boosting of self-healing ability in human bodies through radiation of far-infrared rays. Measurement of Ryodoraku is used to evaluate the improvement in human health. In Taiwan, 20% of the population over forty years old has high blood pressure; i.e., one in every five people suffers from high blood pressure and the proportion becomes greater as the age increases. According to the statistics of the Department of Health in 2001, hypertension was the tenth cause of death and more than 2,600 people died of it in one year. If added with its complications, cerebrovascular diseases, heart diseases and kidney diseases that accounted for the second, third and seventh causes of death, an even more severe threat is imposed on lives of patients. The object of study is focused on the patients with high blood pressure in this paper. Improvement in health of these sufferers of hypertension after receiving treatment of far-infrared rays is explored for an understanding of its effect, so that certain beneficial contribution may be made to the society.
