Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 比較教育研究所 === 91 === The study compares the secondary vocational education in Taiwan and France, to explore the historical development progress, administration, school system and curriculum by using a comparative method presented by G. Z. F. Bereday. This study expected to afford some suggestions for the secondary vocational educational reform in Taiwan. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. The direction of historical development progress on secondary vocational education in Taiwan and France is different. 2. In order to keep high quality and unity on education, France government has strong administrative control on education. 3. Vocational experimental courses start at junior high school in both countries. 4. The purpose of secondary vocational education in Taiwan and France includes employment and higher school advancement. School subjects combine theory and manipulation. The main suggestions of this study are as follows: 1. To integrate vocational education diplomas and working licenses. 2. To increase the relationship between vocational schools and enterprises. 3. Every school should establish employment bureau to help students obtain sufficient news of employment. 4. Junior high schools need to emphasize the orientation to help students understand themselves more and to make suitable decisions between employment and advance study.
