The effect of the diversion weir on flow and sediment transport behavior has been thoroughly examined. Form the results, one, therefore, can understand the difficulties and the possible solution for the NETSTARS model applied to simulate the flow passing through the diversion weir. Then the model is applied to the Nan-Kan creek. The bed changes due to long term flood flows and single flood events are simulated. The simulation results can provide useful information for river stability management because of the existence of diversion weir.
