Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 資訊工程系 === 91 === VoIP has attracted much attention due to its distinct economic advantage. There are three main VoIP signaling protocols, including Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proposed by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), H.323 proposed by International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) and MEGACO proposed by IETF and ITU. Integrated Call Agent (ICA) is an architecture that integrates the protocols in one entity. In this thesis, we enhance the ICA with Internet Telephony Directory Service (ITDS) to interchange the users’ registration information between ICAs. We adopt the concept of hierarchical Mobile IP to design the ITDS, so that the ICA architecture with ITDS can not only locate the callee when setting up a call and routing the call signaling message but also support the user micro mobility. We also extend the ICA architecture to a service platform to provide supplementary services for a user. In a service platform, a user can manage (activate or deactivate) the supplementary services he has subscribed, and an ICA can invokes a specific service for a user when necessary.
