Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 91 === In today’s CAD/CAM systems, the demand for more complicated shapes in many application areas such as aerospace and automotive industries has promoted many new curve and surface design techniques, and NURBS is one of those. And, the flexibility in programming without change of hardware is one of the significant factors in the controller design of CNC machine tools. Especially, the performance in the maximum attainable tracking speed depends on the computing speed of the control algorithm. Digital control technology and high performance microprocessors enabled control systems for CNC machine tools to be designed flexibly. As a consequence, they can be adapted to the changes in production, so it has become possible to produce new products in a short time. This thesis presents the development of a CNC (Computer Numerical Controller) system with a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) as the motion control CPU and a FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) as command output circuit. The machining accuracy of the CNC system on the acceleration/deceleration method and NURBS interpolation method is also investigated.
