To understand the current situation of promoting and announcing the education reform policies and theories, art and humanity teachers in junior high schools were interviewed and asked to fill in questionnaires. Through this research, the problems and difficulties teachers encounter in this early stage of putting the new curriculum into practice would be discovered and understood. Thus the solutions and strategies found in this study could be a valuable model for other schools’ reference. The research methods used in this paper are documentary analysis, semi-structured interview and questionnaire survey. Data collected by semi-structured interview are sorted by category and used as the source to design questionnaires. Self-designed questionnaires were mailed to interviewees sampled randomly from different divisions. Findings: I. In the aspect of the Nine-year Compulsury Education Policy 1. Ministry of Education doesn’t have a complete announcement plan. 2. Teacher’s training for Nine-year Compulsury Education is helpful to promote the new curriculum, but the plan should be strengthened. 3. Teachers’ structure could not cope with the education reform, so the direction followed to cultivate teachers should be adjusted. II. In the aspect of School Administration 1. Education reform is actively promoted in every school. 2. Research groups of art and humanity subjects are not mature. 3. To respond to the Nine-year Compulsury Education, class arrangement need to be adjusted. III. In the aspect of teaching and designing of Nine-year Compulsury Education 1. Art and humanity teachers already have basic concepts on practicing the new curriculum. 2. Though art and humanity teachers are active in practicing new curriculum, there are still many difficulties need to be solved, and the teaching quality is not yet effectively controlled. 3. There is a lack of teaching resources. IV. Teaching result 1. Art and humanity teachers are optimistic about the idea and content of the Nine-year Compulsury Education in the field of art and humanity. 2. Teaching effect and class management are affected by the teaching style and the age characters of students. According to the research result of this paper, suggestions are proposed respectively to education administration units, school administration units, and art and humanity teachers in junior high schools.
