Quasi - experimental design was used for the study, and the Instruments consisted of a pretest and a posttest. The posttest included achievement tests, problem-solving attitude questionnaires. Two groups of students participated in this study for nine weeks. The experimental group was taught through the problem-solving teaching strategy, while the control group was taught through the traditional teaching strategy. Both groups were taught the same topics covered in this study. A pretest was given to both groups during the beginning of spring semester 2001. After nine weeks, the posttests of " Electronics " were administered. The Posttests included achievement tests which inc1ude paper and pen test and skill test to investigate the student''s cognitive and skill abilities. The findings and conclusions were listed as follows: 1. The achievement tests of "Electronics" practical course in the experimental group were significantly better than the control group. 2. The students in experimental group recognized that problem-solving teaching strategy was a helpful style of learning. 3.
