The practical-skill class students of mechanical technology department in vocational high schools were the main subjects. The results can be served as references for teaching improvement and students’ counseling. A questionnaire survey confirmed by probing into documents was conducted as a main tool to serve the purpose for collecting some empirical data. The questionnaire included personal data, charts of self-concept, and skill learning attitudes. The samples were selected from the practical-skill class students of mechanical technology department in public and private vocational school by stratified random sampling. Methods such as t-test, one-way ANOVA (analysis of variance), cross-product correlation, factor analysis, path analysis, and multiple stepwise regression analysis were applied for further discussion to obtain conclusions and propose suggestions.
