It is attempted to analyze the theories of teaching materials with APOS module.As far as the students’ learning effects are concerned, the study is hoped to help them overcome learning difficulties through their analyzing why they learn positive and negative numbers.For the teachers, it is hoped to assist them with appropriate competence in designing teaching materials and capturing the content of course designs through analyzing the structures of concepts of the courses designs of positive and negative numbers for nine-year coherent education. Finally, for teaching materials editors, it is also expected to provide them with a helpful reference. In the thesis we analyze the concepts of teaching materials based on RME and the theory of APOS in order to indicate how and why the teaching materials of positive-and-negative numbers should be learned through students’ daily lives. Our results show that the purpose of positive and negative numbers learning not only leads to the formulation of the schemas of ‘relative quantity’ and ‘ relative quantity decomposition’ but also helps the realization of further concepts of real line and coordinate plane. During the learning process, students develop their ability to appreciate the mathematical disposition in their daily lives. Finally, the re-edited teaching materials are deliberately explained step by step with the hope that the followers can realize the editing model and conception of pedagogical modules.
