Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育學系在職進修專班 === 91 === The purposes of this study were to understand the current job stress of junior high school special education directors in Taiwan and work adjustment of them. Questionnaires survey was conducted in this study. The subjects included 487 subjects from junior high schools in Taiwan (included Taipei and Kaohsiung cities). The statistics procedures include t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product moment correlation and Canonical correlation analysis. The conclusions about this study are as following: 1. The job stress for special education directors of junior high schools is in a lower degree. 2. Among those five aspects of job stress, "job burden" came out at the top, followed by "professional knowledge", "mental conflict", "personal relations" and "decision making". 3. Among those five aspects of work adjustment, "to search for assistance" was most frequently used, followed by "to change one''''s mood", "thinking of reason resolve of problem", "to try to solve problems by oneself" and " to procrastinate". 4. Among those different grouping variables, 2 independents contributed to remarkable differences in the special education director'''' job stress. That is to say, different ages and marriage, lead to varying degrees of job stress. Moreover, the way of work adjustment does not reveal remarkable difference, including gender, ages, marriage, professional background, educational background, whether special education teacher’s certificate is possessed, and the scale of school, all these factors do not have obvious relation with work adjustment. 5. There are significant correlation between job stress and the ways of work adjustment for the special education directors of junior high schools. 6. There are two topics of significant canonical correlation. One is related to “personal abilities”; the other is “Circumstance conditions” in the special education directors of junior high schools.
