Comparison of the OsGRP3 amino acids sequence with protein databank, we found that the OsGRP3 shares 97 % similarity with rice homologs, OsGRP1. In this study, we conducted the gene-overexoression and gene-silencing strategies to identify the physiological function of OsGRP3. Based on the Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation, we have obtained 8 independent lines of OsGRP3-overexpressing transgenic plants. PCR amplified of the antibiotic selection marker, hygromycin phosphotransferase gene (Hph), all 8 of the independent transgenic rice showing a 560 bp DNA fragment, indicating that all of them are the OsGRP3 transgenic rice plants.
