碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 企業管理學系 === 91 === Taiwan Marble Industry has been hit hard because of production surplus in 1995, many stone fabricators had faced sharp downturn in their business and many of them didn’t even survive the impact. Traditional industry seems to reach the end of its destiny. Nonetheless, some of the successful businesses still shine through under such difficult time for their keen decisions and precise actions. These researches has focused on Taiwan Marble Industry, first by presenting the research articles of the experts in studying the industry and furthermore compares it to the global Stone Industry, and make forecasts to the global market. Next, studying the degrees of applying the Supply Chain Management (SCM) in Taiwan Marble Industry to reveal the inner and outer factors that would influence the deployment of SCM within the Industry. Last, presenting recommendation to Taiwan Marble Industry to seek SCM as a competitive tool in making head leads in nowadays global stone market.
