From the record of literature during Kohminka Period, the despondence and attitude about Kohminka policy will be explored in literature and that will show the authentic relationship more between them. Furthermore, the truth of history will be constructed on objective and subjective aspects. At last, the author tries to construct new perspective from three different domains that are education, policy and literature, especially displaying the important content of the history of Taiwan education in Kohminka movement of Japanese-occupied Period. The first chapter is to compare the study education and the elementary school education and the growth and decline between them will be exhibited. Besides, it will also tell the Taiwanese’s choice and attitude about two educational systems. The second chapter is to explain that Japanese government demand Taiwanese to learn to be a Japanese, including the improvement of environmental sanitation, learning with Japanese ceremony and life style, changing own names. However, those policies just reach the apparent likeness. The third chapter is to point out the over demand of Japanese who think Taiwanese should be cultivated the Japanese spirit and the method is based on Japanese language and Sinto faith. The forth chapter is to declare that Japanese classify Taiwan to mobilization in order to supply the resources of the war. All of volunteers could be regarded as the Kohmin so Taiwanese must die to gain the identity of Japanese. In the conclusion is to generalize the respondence and attitude of Taiwanese literature for Kohminka policy that will state the Taiwanese history in Japanese-occupied Period just as a historical record filling of lie. Although Japanese advertise “to treat Taiwanese equally without discrimination”and “ to let Taiwanese become Japanese”, those policies are the way to pacify Taiwanese in fact. In reflection, the first part is to consider the conflict of colony and culture between Japan and Taiwan. Taiwanese should add the advantage of Taiwanese culture to be full of our culture property that will go down to the future generation by educational power. In that way, the culture subjectivity of Taiwan itself will be established. The other part is to indicate that the work of Japanese-occupied Period is the stand for the reactionary spirit. In that time, the literature for the record of the historical experiences will include the most meaning of culture and education. When we review the historical experience of Japanese-colonized, the literature will be the important part in the researching materials. Kuang-Chou Tsui 崔光宙 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 154 zh-TW
