Therefore, providing of web service must be changed for the diversification of network types and devices. The web-based hypermedia systems, which are applied generally, often cause comprehension problems and navigation problems during the user accessing time, because the author makes an assumption about the users. For solving these problems and further to provide the user-centered services, we propose an adaptive presentation framework for universal access and personalization. Our framework is based on XML, which defines all the multimedia objects, and introducing the ontology concept to enhance the relationship between these objects. We also perform Color Petri-Net to express the objects presentation flow and the synchronization between objects, called object plan. Moreover, our adaptive framework also provides four level of adaptive action, including: content adaptation, presentation adaptation, processing adaptation and adaptation reevaluation. After a round of adaptive actions, the original multimedia objects, that user are interested, will be transformed to the best result plan to match device constraints, current environment situation, user preference and requirement. According to the different situations, the result plan will perform adaptive action to present different object.
