This study seeks to deeply interview with the online stock brokerage in Taiwan area from the viewpoint of resource-based theory, aiming to reconfirm and outline the status quo and prototype of online stock brokerage in Taiwan area and even realize the management pattern of online stock brokerage in Taiwan area, investigate and analyze the core resources and strategy of online stock brokerage and further discover the corelation between core resources and strategy of online stock brokerage. This study applies the resource-based theory to the exploration of relationship between core resources and strategy, makes use of records and case study to develop the relevant conclusion and further presents the academic and practical contributions, and provides suggestions for Taiwan regional online stock brokerage to deliberate the future strategy and direct how the subsequent research concerned is conducted. This study comes to the conclusion that: 1. The physical channel and information system availability are helpful to the formation of online stock brokerage’s competitive advantage. 2. Brand awareness, reputation and client base are helpful to the formation of online stock brokerage’s competitive advantage. 3. The organizational ability of execution is crucial to whether online stock brokerage is successful or not. 4. Online stock brokerage continues its competitive advantage by means of differentiation strategy. 5. The core resources vary with the differentiation strategy. 6. The governmental laws and regulations have negative influence on the differentiation strategy adopted by the manufacturers. 7. To heighten the market concentration has the crucial influemce on the core resources and differentiation strategy of online stock brokerage. 8. The financial holding company has the crucial influence on the core resources and differentiation strategy of online stock brokerage.
