It is hoped to be reference for consultants and counselors. The self-injurious behaviors defined in the research are of individuals’ consciousness and direct injury to the body, but their intention is not to cause a consequence of death. Five interviewees who have had self-injurious experiences are the objects of the study. It is adopted with a qualitative research method to regard the interview outline as the interview guidance, to collect data with in-depth interview, to analyze the data in accordance with the procedure of content analysis, and gradually to form the skeleton of the development of adolescents’ self-injurious experiences. Synthesize the results of analyzing the data, the findings of the study are as follows: 1. The skeleton of the development of adolescents’ self-injurious experiences: It includes five stages, “living predicaments”, “fuses of self-injury”, “triggers for self-injurious behaviors”, “positive perception after self-injury”, and “interpretation after self-injury”. The positive perception after self-injury and subjective interpretation would lead to “habitual self-injurious behaviors”. 2. The living predicaments confronted by self-injured adolescents: 2.1Domestic predicaments: remote relation with parents, conflicting relation with parents, disharmonious domestic atmosphere, ignorance at home and domestic violence. 2.2 Interpersonal predicaments: thirst for companionship, distrust toward others, self-containment in relationship, exclusion from peers, casual attitude toward relationships and sexual identity 2.3Scholastic predicaments: presser of schoolwork and strict discipline of teachers. 3. The fuses of adolescents’ self-injury: conflict with family, interpersonal dispute, affectional bringdown, curiosity and imitation, pressure of schoolwork, frustration of life and multiple mixed factors. 4. The subjective interpretation of self-injured adolescents toward their self-injurious behaviors: vent to feelings, displacement, self-mistreatment, causing concern of others, self-vigilance, obtainment of a sense of self-control, control of sentiment, amusement and psychological death 林妙容 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 165 zh-TW
