Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 科學教育研究所 === 91 === The purposes of this study were to know primary school students’ preconceptions about inheritance, evolation and to find some connections between them before formal courses. By adopting interpretative research method, data were collected by interview, a opened and a two-tier diagnostic assessment instrument by 4th to 6th grade. The results showed that child’s thinking about inheritable material affects their preconceptions. They offen likes to use some words, like DNA, Gene, inheritance, evolation… that they even don’t understand to answer guestions. About 80% students’ inheritance preconceptions decide their thinking when they try to connect thier inheritance preconceptions with evolation preconceptions in the study.
