Meanwhile, through the research of related literatures, the author affirms the advantage and importance of improvisation. Finally, the researcher designs a course of improvisation that is proper for primary piano pedagogy and hopes it is useful for those who take this method for teaching. The research is conducted by three different methods: literature review, analytic induction of teaching materials and the researcher’s own compositions. The results are as followings: 1. The importance of improvisation: It is divided into two parts - learning achievements and teaching achievements. (1)Learning achievements: A. Increasing students’ interests and motivations of learning B. Developing students’ self-confidence. C. Stimulating students’ potential and increasing their responses and creativity. D. Training students’ abilities of thinking and listening. E. Diversifying students’ learning and expanding their views. (2)Teaching achievements: A. Making teaching contents more interesting and diversified. B. Inspecting teaching methods that are proper or not. C. Improving the interaction upon teachers and students. 2. The methods of improvisation for primary piano pedagogy: The author designs a course for improvisation which combines his findings of related literatures and his own compositions. It is divided into four parts: (1)Warm-up activity (2)Improvisation on rhythmic training (3)Improvisation on melodic training (4)Improvisation on harmonic training 3. Application: The researcher’s course is applied with Alfred’s basic piano library, for the author designs its sequence according to the teaching goals of Alfred’s. Nevertheless, the contents of each unit of this course are independent. The researcher suggests the followings as further research for this topic: 1. Application: Expanding teaching materials to other piano methods, and making the design with more diversity. 2. Related research in future: Through the actual experiment of the author’s course, comparing the difference between the experimented group and the ordinary group. 3. Based on the researcher’s course, focusing on specific musical training, (e.g. rhythm, pitch, etc.) and see if the experiment improves the students’ musical abilities. 碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 音樂教育學系碩士班 === 91 === The purpose of this research discusses methods of improvisation that are proper for primary piano pedagogy.
The results are as followings:
1. The importance of improvisation:
It is divided into two parts - learning achievements and teaching achievements.
(1)Learning achievements:
A. Increasing students’ interests and motivations of learning
B. Developing students’ self-confidence.
C. Stimulating students’ potential and increasing their responses and creativity.
D. Training students’ abilities of thinking and listening.
E. Diversifying students’ learning and expanding their views.
(2)Teaching achievements:
A. Making teaching contents more interesting and diversified.
B. Inspecting teaching methods that are proper or not.
C. Improving the interaction upon teachers and students.
2. The methods of improvisation for primary piano pedagogy:
The author designs a course for improvisation which combines his findings of related literatures and his own compositions. It is divided into four parts:
(1)Warm-up activity
(2)Improvisation on rhythmic training
(3)Improvisation on melodic training
(4)Improvisation on harmonic training
3. Application:
The researcher’s course is applied with Alfred’s basic piano library, for the author designs its sequence according to the teaching goals of Alfred’s. Nevertheless, the contents of each unit of this course are independent.
The researcher suggests the followings as further research for this
topic:
