Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立台北護理學院 === 中西醫結合護理研究所 === 91 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of combination of auricular acupressure with computer-assisted instruction with Internet for smoking cessation among adolescent. The quasi-experimental research design was used in this study. Totally 116 subjects were obtained from three senior high schools and divided into three groups. The control group was non-smoker and provided auricular acupressure. The experimental group 1 was smokers and provided auricular acupressure as well as a computer-assisted instruction on Internet, whereas the experimental group 2 was also smokers and provided auricular acupressure only. All subjects received a 4-week different intervention. Serum cotinine test, FTQ scale, malondialdehyde (MDA), self- efficacy scale, change of the stages scale, change of the sense of taste were used to obtained data from subjects. The results of this study showed that the data of serum cotinine, FTQ scale, MDA, self- efficacy score, change of the stages, and change of the sense of taste have statistically positive effects in the experimental group 1. And the data of self-efficacy score; change of the stages, and change of the sense of taste have statistically positive effects in the experimental group 2. The findings of this study indicate that the group with auricular acupressure as well as a computer-assisted instruction on Internet is more effective than the group with auricular acupressure only for the subjects who performed smoking cessation. Such smoking cessation intervention created by this study is recommended for adolescent smokers.
