Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 教育心理與輔導研究所 === 91 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the differences of irrational beliefs, career beliefs, and career decision between college students of different gender, and to explore the relationships among irrational beliefs, career beliefs, and career decision of college students. The sample consisted of 1054 college students from the first to fourth grade of 11 colleges in Taiwan. Instruments used in this study included the Survey of Personal Beliefs, Career Decision Beliefs Scale, and the Career Decision Scale. Data obtained in this study were analyzed by t-test, canonical correlation analysis, and simultaneous multiple regression analysis. The main findings were as follows: 1.Differences between college students of different gender were found for irrational beliefs and career beliefs. 2.Irrational beliefs were significantly related to career beliefs. 3.Irrational beliefs significantly predicted career decision. 4.Career beliefs significantly predicted career decision. Based on the findings, implications of this study for counseling of college students and suggestion for the future research were proposed as well.
